Water is a precious and limited resource that needs to be shared fairly for the benefit of Basin communities, farmers, and the environment.

The Murray–Darling Basin Agreement is a long-standing arrangement that aims to share water fairly in the southern Basin and outlines the rules for the way the River Murray is managed and operated.

The webinar will include information on:

  • how each state’s share is calculated
  • who is responsible for allocating water
  • how decisions are made on sharing the water
  • how water is shared across a variable climate.

There will also be a moderated Q&A session as part of the webinar. You can submit questions in advance, find out more about our webinar series or view a recording after the event by visiting MDBA webinars.
